The gallery hosts an “Artist of the Month” each month during the year. This artist’s work is exhibited for the entire month, and a public reception is held in their honor on the second Saturday of that month from 4 to 7 p.m. The Goodwin Gallery is a co-op of over 50 active artists displaying paintings in oil, pastels, and watercolors, as well as ceramics, sculptures, jewelry and photography. Exhibits change every two months. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Maria Flumiani
Artist of the Month - September 2010

Maria Flumiani is a transplanted New Yorker, now living in Northern California. She has always enjoyed a love and enthusiasm for photography, admiring the talent of those who could express a moving story with just one photo.

Maria has pursued her craft over the last 6 years, consistently learning new techniques through journeying and educational workshops. California has offered her an amazing opportunity to explore and pursue her photography with its palette of beauty, variety of climates, and natural magnificence.

In traveling abroad, Maria has expanded her world to include the picturesque, exquisite splendor of the central, northern and southern regions of Italy. On her most recent excursion to southern Italy, she was able to discover the location of Nola, a small village in the Calabria region of Naples, where her grandparents were born.

Maria invites you to enjoy her photography and insight to Italy, hoping it will inspire others to visit this magnificent country. Through her photographs and stories, she wishes to enlighten others to the joy of traveling and discovering their ancestral history.

In 2010, Maria’s work was accepted into the 50th Annual Lodi Art Center Spring Show in Woodbridge and Delicato’s 14th Annual Photogra- phy show in Manteca.

Maria is currently serving as President and Publicity Chair of the Stockton Art League Goodwin Gallery, and is also a member of the Stockton Camera Club, the Miracle Mile Improvement District, and the Univer- sity Neighborhood Renaissance Committee.
